1. I dislike living in an underground house. This is because that it is difficult to create a house. We need to a hill and drill. If you do not have skills, we can not control structure. In general, underground is humid, I can not adapt this environment. Underground space is very limited, I will fell depressive. So I dislike an underground house.
2. This is because that in the past many miners immigrated to Australia. They lived in there to product many opals. They can create wealth. Then they create a liberal community. They can get a enjoy a rough kind of run such as occasional fights. This region belonged to them, they can have liberal life. At the same time, they also can create wealth. So the miners prefer to live in these dug-out homes.
3. Coober Pedy is a dusty town in South Australia. It deposited much opal. For the first impression, you may not know what is opal, you can come to local region to learn this culture. In this place, it also has "dug-out" homes. People escaped the heat and flies, they went to hill to create underground house. All of these for me, I think it is very unbelievable, so if you travel to Australia, I will describe these things for you.

1. Before I read this article, I do not like to live in an underground house. However, after today’s class, I change my mind. I have learned that the underground house is large and safety. Although it is built under the surface, the air inside the structure is fresh. The environment of underground house is clean. In addition, underground house is good for people to stay during summer.
2. I think the first reason is that the 'dug-out' homes are create by themselves. Live in it make miners feel comfortable. Then, the technique they used in it make it suitable for them. In addition, these homes locate in the area where near the mine they are working for. Therefore, it is convenient for them.
3. Coober Pedy is a city which built over the mines. You may assume that it is a dirty place. However, it is an amazing city which has a lot of underground houses. These houses have built inside the hills. In fact, the structures are unique. If you want take photo inside it, please watch your step, and keep always from the dangerous holes.

The title of this story is “The Magical Millstone”. It is about two brothers. Elder brother is rich, selfish and arrogant. Younger brother is poor, kindness and generous. Once, the younger brother’s family did not had any food. His wife advised him to ask his elder brother for help. When he went to ask his brother for help, the elder brother’s wife gave him a goat’s hoof. They told him to give the hoof to a demon who lives in a forest, to exchange the magical millstone.
The younger brother followed the advice and take the millstone back. The millstone can give people whatever they want until they ask it to stop. However, the younger brother used it to make his life better. Sometime after, the elder brother snatched the millstone. He brought it to the sea on a boat. In addition, he want to sell the salt for fisherman. He asked the millstone give him salt. Unfortunately, he forgot how to stop the millstone. Therefore, the salt was overweight and both elder brother and boat are sink into the sea. At the end, the millstone still create the salt, it caused the sea be salty.
Based on this story, I learned that don’t be greedy and selfish. In the story, the greedy elder brother sink into the sea. The greed make him ignored the important information and caused bad end. I think it is an important lesson. Everyone have greed, but if we don’t control it, it will ruin us. This story is a warning about that condition.

Today, I read a story, Sun, Moon, and Wind went out to Dinner. This story talked about sun, wind and moon with their uncle and aunts went to dine, but their mother did not went to dine with them. When they arrived at place, sun and wind are greedy and selfish. They enjoyed the great feast. In end of dine, they did not take anything for their mother. Nevertheless, moon did not forget to take dishes for her mother.
When they came back to home, their mother asked them what dishes did you take for me. Sun and wind directly said mom I did not take anything for, I merely enjoyed my pleasure with friends, but moon showed her mother some she as never as seen before dishes. Then star told them because they did not take anything for their mother, they will assume the results. Henceforth, sun changed ever be hot and scorching. He can not make friends, because he was very hot, nobody can touch him. Then wind always blow in the hot dry weather , and shall parch and shrivel all living things. So, nobody like wind. However, because moon took dishes for her mother, so her mother changed her shall be ever cool, calm and bright.
Thus, this story wanted to tell us, do not be a greedy and selfish person. We need to respect everybody. Particularly our parents. They take care of us when we was born. We need to try our best to be good for them. If we can not respect our parents, others do not want to get your good faith.

1.It also depends on different situation. I wouldn’t like to live in an underground house, although I’m sure that after reading the article. The first reason is we haven’t the underground houses like the ones in Coober Pedy, not only in China but also America. Normally there isn’t a good environment in ours, such as no sufficient sunshine and space, the air can’t flow every well, sometimes there are heavy rain and liberal cockroaches, on the other hand, if we have emerge thing, it is harder to run away from underground houses. Therefore, I think all reasons are bad for our health and safety. However, as for me if I went to special location on a trip, for example beautiful islands, seaside or hillside, I would like to try to stay an underground house for a few days, because in hotel normally the conditions and environment of the underground houses are better and decoration is more beautiful than common ones. Likewise, the price is higher than common ones.
2.First, the miners are working underground every day, living these ‘dug-out’ homes is very convince. Secondly, comparing to live in the desert landscape houses, these ‘dug-out’ houses are safer. Furthermore, because of the weather condition, Coober Pedy has a desert climate, in summer the temperature is very high, living ‘dug-out’ homes is very cool and comfortable. Eventually, interior of a ‘dug-out’ houses is similar to the normal homes, all furniture soften them. For these reason, I think the miners prefer to live in these ‘dug-out’ homes.
3. Coober Pedy is a town from South Australia, it is known as opal and it is desert climate, day is warm and night is cool. There are many miners living and working underground, it is said that liberal amount of opal, almost 80%, are product here. Then, almost houses are underground house, but these aren’t dirty, dust, wet and heat. There are colorful rock, and furniture, services are all similar with normally ones. I am very interested in ‘dug-out’ houses, so I hope you can enjoy living there for few days, it will be the best idea.

Summary
The story named” Magical Millstone” and it began with two brothers, the younger one is kind and poor and the elder one is rich and selfish. One day the younger poor brother hadn’t food, he couldn’t survived life so he found the rich brother for help. However, he haven’t got the food instead of the hoof, and he was told to go forest to see demon to take back magical millstone. By the same, the rich brother thought his brother couldn’t get anything and demon would kill him. But the younger brother did it and got millstone, after that, his life got better and better!
Unfortunately the rich brother found this secret and stole the millstone, taking it to the seaside because of he wanted to get much salt. When he used magic, he also achieved his target, but he forgot to say “stop, millstone!” resulted in he kept getting so much salt that the boat drop into sea and he died!

1. I do not like to live in a underground house, because I think the underground house always is very wet and have lots of cockroaches, there also have some problems of environment. For example, the underground house always without windows therefore the air can not flow, it is bad for hour health. But some underground houses are very unique, like some house witch is build near by a hill, in my opinion, that is very interesting I will try to living in there.
2. I think some miners immigrated to Australia and created the dug-out house because live in dug-out house is very convenience to work and cheaper than buy or build a new house. Probably, they are liberal, they did not want to living in a city or they like enjoying the nature.
3. Coober pedy is located in south Australia and is a small town. Compared with other Australia’s city, there is very different. First, there is rich in opal and lots of miners live in there but the city is not dirty, the weather also is better. In contrast, the miners have the good techniques of build underground house. Although, the underground houses are not similar with the house in the city, but is beautiful scenery.

1.After I read the article I still dislike underground house, because air in the house not fresh and will have many insect and snake，everyone can know the insect and insect like stay in dark and damp place，and sunlight can’t into the underground house so it bad for people health.

Today, I read a story is “ Icarus and Daedalus”. This story was talk about Icarus and Daedalus is father and son, they were imprisoned on an island in Crete. One day, the father Daedalus saw a sea gulls flying then he thought a plan for himself and his son about how to escape from his cell. He made lots of feathers together with thread and wax in order to moulded two wings. And he found a best way to fly in the sky, is same like swimming. After that he told his son how to use them and told he do not fly very low or very high because the blaze of sun will melt your wings. The day came; Icarus and Daedalus use the wings to escape out of the cell. When Icarus up in air, his feel like a child uplifted by his mother but he forgot his father said. He fly higher and higher, eventually he was drowned and he dead.
According to this story, I learned we should keep in mind our elders or parents said. It not only good for us, it also can guide for our life. Because our elders or parents have lots of good experiences than us and they hope that we do not detours. If we remember it, we can find those experiences are very useful.

1. I would like to live in an underground house. Because this kind of structure is unique style in the world. The underground house is cool and people lived in here is more comfortably. But the underground house may have some insects. The underground house is more humid than a usual house.
2. Because the environment, the temperature is very high. The weather in Coober Pedy is really hot. There has liberal of dug-out homes. Those are cool and quiet so they lived in the underground house. Local people immigrated into those homes. Finally, the dug-out homes became a unique sight.
3. Coober Pedy located in northern South Australia. There is hot, dry and beautiful. There is swollen land. Because there are very hot, so people usually lived in the underground house. There are rich mineral products, if you buy some jewelry in here, they will cheaper than other countries.

1. Personally, I hold my opinion, which is I like to live in an underground house. Some people might think that underground house’s space is small and is humid. But this things happen in old age or underground hotel that people want to save money. Nowadays, because of technological advantage, worker could made the structure of underground house large and safety, and using the technique to solve some problems, such as underground house is humid and have much dust. In other words, you could make your underground house’s structure unique, because under surface where have enough space to create a new structure.
2. Basically, first, I assume that miners prefer to live in these 'dug-out' homes because of convenience. The place they work nearby where they live. Second, miners create Coober Pedy where is a liberal community, and they want to have their special live style. Last, miners predict a few years ago, the price of underground house will rise rapidly.
3. Coober Pedy is a beautiful city where built by miners who immigrate to this city and create wealth by mine. In there, you will enjoy a diversity of underground house and most of this house built inside the hills. The story named “How Sun, Moon, and Wind went out to dinner” I read in the class. The start plot of this story is that there are four character Sun, Moon, Wind and Star. Star is Sun, Moon and Wind’s mother. Long time ago, Sun, Moon and Wind go out have dinner, Star stay at home and hope her son and daughter could fetch a dinner for her. Sun and Wind were greedy and selfish, they didn’t take care their mother and brought dinner. They just focus on enjoy themselves. In construct, the gentle Moon did not forget Star, and fetch every dainty dish to her mother.
When Sun, Moon and Wind return, Star ask them “what have you brought home for me?” Star think about their action to decide their destiny. Because the Sun go out to amuse himself and did not brought anything to home, Star made Sun become hot and scorching and no one could touch him, be lonely. Also, Wind did not think about his mother, so wind heard like doom and make other disagreeable. As for Moon, she remembered Star, her mother. So, Moon be ever cool, bright and calm. Moon’s light is so soft and cool, and beautiful.
Through this story, this moral is children should always think about their parents and take care their parents as much as better. Do not be greedy and selfish person, and do not make our parents disappointment. Out parents think their children life is important than their life, and do their best to take care ours. We also need to look after our parents to enjoy their old age..

This story told about an architect, his name is Daedalus. He once built a Labyrinth for a king. But one day the Daedalus was imprisoned in a tower, he planned to escape the tower. One day, he saw the sea-gulls fly in the sky, and he wanted to a build a pair of wings to escape.
He gathered lots of feathers and used gathered to make wings. First, he moulded these tougher with thread and used wax to fasten. He had a son and his name is Icarus. When the Wings were done, Daedalus taught his son how to use the wings and carefully told his son “never to fly very low or very high”. Unfortunately, when Icarus flying in the sky, he already forgot what his father told him, and he flew very high and near the sun. Nearly the sun, temperature was rising and the wings are melted. Finally, Icarus failed down and when his father found him, he only saw some feathers in the ocean.
This story told us, we need to hear what elder people say more carefully. Because elder people have more experience than us. According to the elder people’s “talk”, we have to assimilate those experience and think more about what should I do and why I should do this. Finally his father in heavy grief, and never again did he attempt to fly.
