My parents have two children, one is my little brother and the other is me. My little brother and I are not very similar. He is tall, strong, his hair is curly and his eyes are small. I am short, slim and my eyes are big and bright. He is interested in math and driving a car for relay races, but I prefer English and sports. However, we both like traveling. As a result, once we have the same vacation, we always go traveling abroad together. This means we have a good common and get along well.

In the Unite 6, we talked about” should science influence what we eat?” This is a hot topic. It depends on consumer needs, interests and current nutrition trends. Some people challenge that question. Because some people think that we should eat well, less science and more common sense. For example: when we buy some food in supermarkets, we can get so much information about health and nutrition. No wonder we was confused. Furthermore, some food label mislead us and some genetically modified food is bad for our health. In contrast, some people believe science should influence what we eat. For instance, some people are interested in nutrition food that have specific health benefits. Low fat food, non-fat food, low calorie and low carbohydrate food all influence the consumer’s desires and needs.
I maintain that we should eat well, less science and more common sense. The first reason is that we all know what food is good for us, what isn’t except some special food that we don’t know and we haven’t tested. Therefore we can enjoy what we really want to eat, but we should control the amount carbohydrate and calorie if someone want to keep weight or lose weight. Secondly, it is hard to predict the changing nutrition food trends, because it is depend on society and culture, so it’s really hard to follow with. In short, I don’t need experts to tell me what to eat.

She is outgoing person unlike I'm quiet introverted. I like to stay in my room and my favorite quote is "Outside of be is dangerous!". However my sister likes to go out and meet her friends.

Why science should influence what we eat? We have discussed about what we should eat for a long time. In general, people prefer to follow experts’ advice. It is because experts always follow the science. Based on the increase of science, we know what kind of nutrition is important for us. In addition, the author of the report “Anatomy of a Nutrition Trend” pinpoint that media also follow this increase and change their interest in health benefits now. Although science has affected our food choice a lot, is it always has positive results?
Unfortunately, it isn’t. One fact about science is that it is developing. Something we had learned before may be abandoned by scientists for a year. This fact may cause some negative results. Media prefer to use some information to show their professional. Some of this information may be changed. Then some media will changed their point. The author of article “Eating Well: Less Science, More Common Sense” wrote down that this case will make people feel confused. People can get exact information from science. If we follow more about our sense, not only influenced by science, we will feel more comfortable. Therefore, science should not influence what we eat.

I have a cousin in my family, he is older than me. When I was a child, we play together every day. We watch same cartoon, play same game and sleeping together. When I was a high school student, we both like to play one video game, League of Legends. We play at home all day, in that time we are very happy, because I can play with he and we can help each other. Unfortunately, last year, I came to America and he went to be a soldier to protect our country, so I could not see him at next 5 years. I hope when I finish my study, and I can see him again.

Even though science can cause problems like misleading or something else, It's right for science to influence what we eat. There are a lot of bad effects of science that influences food. For example, according to the article "Eating well: less science, more common sense" food labels can mislead people. The article says that producers write their products are recommended from doctors. In fact doctors recommended the all kind of that product. Also it says that science can make people more confusing than helpful. Eating eggs for example, some say they are good for health but others say they are terrible for their health.
Just as I said, there many bad effects of science. However giving information about food is enough reason to adopt science to what we eat. Science help us to know which nutrition is contained in food and what is good for our health in some special case. There are still some points that scientist conflict but that is only few. There is much more useful and non conflict information that is useful for us to choose foods to eat. Many people are already using science to choose their foods. According to the Food Marketing Institute in Washington, DC, percentage of consumers reporting that they are "very concerned about the nutritional content of what they eat" has been rising since 20 years ago. This means people already use science. For this reasons I think science should influence what we eat.

“Food is life. We eat it to grow, stay healthy, and have energy to do everyday activities.” This quote is from first reading “Eating Well: Less Science, More Common Sense”. This weekend, our topic is “Should science influence what we eat?” so, how can science influence what we eat? First, science can teach us which food is what we need, also science can change gene of foods. Some people may say that is good for us, for example, they make food label and let people easy to understand what we eat. Other one, the science can change food’s gene, make foods more nutritive and healthier. That is really good for us? I don’t think so, because now every food have food label and that make people usually misleading also some food are not really good for you although the label write is good for you. The gene changing may not really good for people.
In my opinion, I think science should not influence what we eat. Using scientific way to let people know what food is good for people and how to choice healthy food, sometime is a good influence, but usually the healthy food information make people more confusing and hard to know who to believe which is true. For example, eggs, some research said egg is good for people, but other research said egg can cause cancer or heart disease. In reading one, there have three good tips for eating well and staying healthy from Michael Pollan. Like “eat less,” “get out of supermarket” and “not only about body healthy also about pleasure"
