Answer:
The folk tale “Nasreddin Hodja and the candle” is tell us an interesting story about Hodja and his friends. It was a cold winter day. Hodja and his friend were bragging about something in a coffeehouse. Then Hodja said that he love cold and snow when he was a boy. His friends didn’t believe him. So they made a challenge for Hodja. If he could stay out all night without coat or a blanket or anything, they would give him a fine dinner. And if he would use anything to keep him warm, he would have to make dinner for them. Hodja agreed this and stayed outside all night with imagined that the warmth of the candle light burning a hundred away helped warm the blood. But in the morning, his friends said that he used that candle to warm himself. So Hodja made a dinner with a candle that his friends believe it could warm him from a hundred meters away all night.
The massage of this folk tale is the firm will be able to help you survive. I agree this massage. In my opinion, believe something can help you overcome difficulties. For example, if you are very thirst, and there is not any water near you. You can thinking about some plum, it can help you to quenching thirst.
In this folk” Naserddin Hodja and the Candle,” Naserddin Hodja tell his friends he can stand in the cold weather with absolutely nothing extra to warm up all night long. If he can’t do that, he will be the host of the dinner for his friends. However, if he successfully stand outside all night long without anything, his friends will pay for his dinner. At last he overcomes the freezing outside by imagining he can get worm from the candle handed meters away. But his friends think he use the candle to get warm, he should offer them a dinner. Therefore, Naserddin Hodja cooks a meal for his friends with a candle instead of using fire.
ReplyDeleteThe folk story” Naserddin Hodja and the Candle,” tells us imagination can make something impossible possible. For example, CaoCao, a general in ancient China, leaded an army to another city. During his journey, he and his army felt exhausted and thirsty. To encourage his army, he told his army he found a plum tree which was juicy and fresh. By imagining of the tasty plum, his army successfully kept going and won the war. So, I think a strong will can bring us unlimited power.

In the folk tale "Nasreddin Hodja and the Candle", Nasreddin Hodia and his friends sat in one coffeeshop and talked about the cold weather. When they were bragging about their ability about things they could ever do, Hodja said that : " when he was a little boy , he was really good at survive the frozen conditions. He even could have a good swim in cold water. " His friends didn't believe it. Therefore, their friend set aggressive goals " stay out all night long but not wearing clothes."If not he need to cook a good meal for his friends. He stayed outside without clothes hole night, he imagined the warmth from one candle light burning a hundred away helped warm the blood. In the morning, his friends couldn't believe that he passed the challenge, and said that he used the faraway candle to warm himself. Then he cook one meal by using candle same as their friends believe it warm him in the cold night.
This folk tale told us thatIf you’re overpowered by habitual thinking, you can feel better right now by knowing that changing those habits is within your power.Change the mind-set.In 1967, within a generation of Maslow’s article, Herbert Gans wrote a classic book, “The Levittowners”, which described the changing mindset of America’s new middle class.
In the folk tale “Nasreddin Hodja and the Candle,” we can know that people need to take responsibility for what they said and use the same standard to different things. In the story, Nasreddin Hodja said he loved the winter and could have good swim in the winter, but his friends didn’t believe him at deall. Therefore, he made a bet with his friends that he challenged to stay outside all night without anything at all to warm. He completed the task successfully by a candle which is hundreds meter away. He imagined the candle can keep him warm, so that he was able to stay out all night. However, his friends though he used the candle, so the challenge should be fail. Even though Nasreddin Hodja was not willing but fulfilled the bet to treat his friends dinner. Nasreddin Hodja invited his friend to came to his home but let them wait for a long time. Until his friends became impatient and entered the kitchen, they were surprise to Nasreddin Hodja cooked by a candle in one meter away. Like Nasreddin Hodja’s friends said, they thought the candle in hundreds meters away can gave Nasreddin Hodja warm. Therefore, the candle only in one meter away should heat a pot for dinner. I believe that everyone should be responsible for what they said and treat everything fair..
ReplyDeletePeople can’t have different standard in different things. We should be responsible for what we ever said. For example, as parents teaching two children, they should use the same standard to treat two children. It’s a typical way to be responsible for themselves. Similarly, parent just like Nasreddin Hodja’s friends, they have to following the words they had said before and educate two children in the same standard.
In this tale “Nasreddin Hodja and the Candle”, Hodja and his friends talk about weather. Hodja says he loved winter and snow when he was baby. His friends does not believe it, so they make a bet which is they are going to pay him for dinner if Hodja would stay out all night without any items. In the mid-night, Hodja sees a candle which is hundred away from his place, and he imagines that he feels warming through warm lights. In the morning, his friends ask him that he was using item or not, he says “unless you include candle hundred meters away”. However, they insists that Hodja has to prepare meal for them. When they are going Hodja’s house, they can’t eat food. They are complaining to Hodja, then Hodja make them get into dining room. They see the pot which is hanging from the ceiling and burning by one candle. They argue that food will be never prepared, however, Hodja claims that he is not sure that candle which is located hundred meters away from him make Hodja warm.
ReplyDeleteI think that one of lesson from this folk tale is thinking positively makes people be successful. Because, Hodja could survive by thinking that a candle makes him warmer even though it is located hundred meters away from him. In my experience, I have lost soccer game against rival game, but never gave up. I kept practicing and thinking how could we win them, we could win next time. Finally, we beat them, because of thinking that we could win, it was unlucky last time, and practicing hard every day. Thus, I realized that positive thinking makes people be successful.
Nasreddin Hodja is a guy who claim to his friend that he is really strong to cold weather. He made a bet with his friend that if he is able to sleep one night outside without any coat or blanket. If he wins, his friend have to provide him a meal. If not he has to provide them a meal. Nasreddin was able to succeed by giving himself a hypnosis with a candle he saw. His friend did not accept his succession by saying that he utilize that candle. He was frustrated from what they have said but he admitted. As the promise he made, he invited his friend for the food. As the time is passing, his friends were tired of waiting for the food. Finally, they complained to him that why the food is not ready yet. He said with the heating power of the candle that his friends talk about he is trying to boil the pot. He added that if the heat of the candle is that powerful to made him survive overnight then it should be possible to boil the pot.
ReplyDeleteI believe that the moral from the context is right. The lesson what the story is trying to tell us is, do not say things thoughtlessly. Since Nasreddin’s friends made a stupid argument that he used the same argument. Therefore, his friends could not argue back to him. There is an example, of similar story, there was a fox and a crane who became friends. The fox invited the crane to dinner. The fox had prepared soup for the crane. He served the soup in flat dishes. But the crane could not enjoy it at all with his long beak and had to get back home hungry. The fox felt extremely amused. After few days, the crane invited the fox to dine in with him. The fox reached his place well in time. The crane gave him a warm welcome and served the soup in a jug with a long and narrow neck. So, the crane enjoyed the soup using his long beak. The fox's mouth couldn't reach the soup through the narrow neck of the jug. He had to return home hungry. Now he realized that he had been repaid for his behaviour with the crane. This story has exact same lesson for us; however, it is shown as behavior. When Nasreddin said, “If a candle that is hundred meters away can keep me warm…”, what he meant was exactly same meaning for the crane’s behavior towards the fox.
Nasreddin Hodja and The Candle
ReplyDeleteIn the folk tale called “Nasreddin Hodja and The Candle” Nasreddin Hodja’s friends want to make a bargain with him about staying out in cold after Nasreddin Hodja tells them he loves cold and snow. According to the bargain Nasreddin Hodja stays out in the cold. However, he survives because of his idea that feels like the heat of the candle that is far away from him can warm him up. Because his friend believed he warms himself with a candle that is far away from him, they want Hodja to be the host for dinner and and go his house, wait for a long time. When they ask Hodja about this, Hodja gives them a lesson. In my opinion, the message is people can always find a solution for something, the most important thing is to use your mind and find the keys. I think, what this folk tale tries to tell us is important and something we should always keep in our mind. What Hodja did was so intelligent that it helped him survive the cold night so if we can find the keys, it will be the solution of the issue. For example, when I am aware of that i need to study but I don’t want it, I always think about the benefits that I will have in return and try to focus on my studies so that it helps me dedicate myself to my studies at that moment. So “There will always be solutions as long as we use our mind and see the keys.”

In the folk tale “Nasreddin Hodja and the Candle” Nasreddin Hodja bet with his friends. If Hodja can stay outside at all night with absolutely nothing extra to warm, their friends will prepare the food for Hodja, but Hodja can’t, he have to prepare the food for his friends. At night, he can stay outside all night because of candle burning a hundred meters away. He keep imagine that candle make him warm. After, his friends say that he use candle, so he lose. Therefore, at dinner he use candle make for dinner, and his friends complain about that. He responds that candle can people warm even though burning a hundred meters away. Why can’t heat a pot?
ReplyDeleteI think that Hodja give two lessons to us. First, thinking positive can help people adjust at their situation. For example, in presentation, I prepared a lot, but I’m still nervous. Therefore, I keep think that I can do it, so I didn’t nervous anymore. Second, if I talk unreasonably to other people, this injustice will return to me. For instance, when I was high school student, my friend invited me at his house. During in his house, I made mess, so my friend complained about that. However I told that it is not my house, I don’t care. Later, he came to my house. He also made mess, but I couldn’t complain about that.
