  • How did you feel?

Then you must comment on 1 other person's post.

3/18- Weekend Homework

EAP- Prepare & deliver a 5-7 minute presentation with PowerPoint (PPT)about environmental pollution.
Choose one type of environmental pollution such as:
  1. Air- smoking smog
  2. Water- ocean acidification, lead in drinking water
  3. Land- soil erosion, toxic waste

Research to learn about this pollution. In your presentation, describe:
  • the problem
  • where it occurs
  • the impact on people, animals, plants and/or the environment
  • 2 solutions to the problem 
  • your opinion of the best solution w/ why (remember your opinion stems from Thursday)
* there should be 1 slide for each point + and introduction, summary & conclusion slide.
*** Remember to open the floor to questions & check that you understand the question before answering it!!! (it's good to have 1 question & answer ready before the presentation) 

Upper Core- Study Q:LS4 & Q:RW4 Unit 7 (Review on vocabulary & all skills).

  • Unit test will be on Monday 3/21 after lunch.

EAP- Use your notes from today's reading to answer the questions below. (Each in paragraph form 5-8 sentences) DUE TOMORROW
  1. How do you feel about smoking outdoors? Do you think it is a problem? Why or Why not? 
  2. Do you think that smoking increases the general air pollution in a city? Why of why noy? Will banning outdoor smoking help a city's environment? 

Core- Write a 250 word article about the murder from your handout. (It's a rough draft so hand written or typed are both ok). Remember to include: DUE THURSDAY

  • Introduction- tell us the topic & why it is interesting
  • Body- what happened in more detail
  • Conclusion- summarize topic & give your opinion
