EAP- Prepare a 2-3 minute presentation with PPT about a new way to advertise your favorite product to deliver to the class on Monday 1/25.
  1. Choose a product that interests you and describe a new place or new way to advertise the product.
  2. Explain why you believe this advertising campaign would be effective. 
  3. Show an example.
  4. Use the strategies, and tell the audience a story to catch their attention.

1/21- Homework Assignment

EAP- Work with your partners to brainstorm a T-Chart for class tomorrow and create your argument on the speaking sheet for a 10 min in class discussion for a homework & participation grade tomorrow morning.
  • As a group create one complete T-chart.
  • Each person in the group must fill-out the speaking sheet handout with the group's opinion. 


Core 1- Write me a 2 paragraph description of your painting or favorite vacation and post it on the blog. For each describe the people, place, events and things. (Remember to use each category of adjectives & adverbs from today's class in your description.)
  • Painting- describe the people and things in the painting as if I had never seen it. Then describe where you think the place is and what you think is happening.
  • Vacation- describe the people who went with you and the place you went. Then describe what you did (events) and what you saw/ate/bought (things).

EAP- Write a 2 paragraph blog entry summarizing the article (Hidden in Plain Sight: Ads in Daily Life) and giving your classmates opinions about ads.

EAP- Detailed reading comprehension activity. Using the copy of our in-class reading, write a 3-4 sentence summary of the reading and post in on the blog.
