Lauren's EAP- Inside Writing pages 23-24 (2 sentences each for B).

Lauren's Core- Create a typed outline for your research paper. Follow the example below and turn it in to Lauren tomorrow at 10.15 in Core 1.

Topic: Write a 2-3 page descriptive essay to review a product or service (See Q:RW 50-52).

1.       Introduction-

a.       Broad & catchy introductory sentence- main topic

b.      Narrowing sentences- what about the main topic will you focus on

c.       Thesis

2.       Body paragraph- (do this for each body paragraph)

a.       Topic sentence

b.      Supporting detail

                                                               i.      Reference

c.       Supporting detail

                                                               i.      Reference  

d.      Supporting detail

                                                               i.      Reference – (all must link to paragraph topic)

3.       Conclusion-

a.       Restate the thesis

b.      Summarize main ideas/points

c.       Final thoughts or opinions (remember not to use I or me)
