Topic: Air Pollution. Now more and more people were affected by air pollution. But they also caused pollution as well. Not only will it cause health problem, but also it will cause environment problem. So the professor advised we should plant trees. It can provide economic benefit and environment services to help people save money. In urban forests tress can absorb pollution gases. And Using the less air condition can reduce high temperature.

ReplyDeleteIn this lecture, the professor told us about "problem of air pollution" in the urban area. "Firstly, there are more than 3 billion people who lived in urban, the large number of people have strong affect to the pollution. Secondly, factories with its emissions of sulphur, sulphur mix the oxygen in the air and create sulfur dioxide. Sulfur dioxide mix the water and cloud create the acid rain cloud. Then the acid rain worked. Thirdly, sulfur dioxide affects people health such as breathing, watery eye, burning nose and throat. It affects nature, just like damage to the forest, increases acid in water, fish can't live in the water. Lastly, professor talked about the benefit of trees. For example, it could save money, combat the pollution, it also could make urban area stay cooler. It would help people save electricity."

Topic: Problem of air pollution
The professor was reported that there are a lot people in the city and the air pollution is about many things for people. He introduced the sulfur dioxide is include the sulfur from factories and the dioxide in the air, it will formed the acid rain and bad for people and environmental. The lecture told us about how air pollution such as sulfur dioxide influence our health, it will make some breathing problem, make us have watery eyes and burning noses and throat. Professor also assured that the air pollution will make some environmental problems like acid rain damage to forests and soil, increases acid in water, fish can't live in the water. Finally, professor said trees have some benefits that trees can help people save money, can combat the pollution and make urban area stay cooler to help people save electricity

ReplyDeleteToday the professor talked about the problem of pollution. He started with the population of people who living city. He said there were 3 billion people living in city, they were affected by air pollution, and they caused pollution as well. Then, he pointed out the gas called sulfur dioxide was polluted the air from burned fuel, he said the biggest source of sulfur dioxide is power plan factory. Next, he indicated the air pollution caused watery eyes, burning nose and throat, damaged the forests, and increased the acid in water. Second, he talked about the benefits of the trees for us, he said the trees could provide economic benefits and environmental services to us. Such as trees could absorb polluting gases, and because of their shadow decreased the temperature, we could less use air condition 50%. In the end, professor said the urban forests program is the most efficient way to reduce the air pollution, so the city like Beijing and Mexico city had the urban forests program already.

ReplyDeleteIn this lecture, the professor illustrated the problem of air pollution. At first, he indicated that there were 60% of pollution produced in the cities. Then, he showed us how the sulfur dioxide formed and the effect of the sulfur dioxide. The sulfur dioxide was a combination of sulfur and air. When we produce heat by burning fuel such as oil and coal, the sulfur appears. After mixed with air, the sulfur become sulfur dioxide. Then, the sulfur dioxide become acid rain in the cloud. The professor remind us that this kind of rain makes people have trouble with breathing, watery eyes and burning nose and throat. It also has an negative impact on environment. For instance, it damages forest and soil, increase the acid in water and kills the fish. However, the professor point out a solution, the urban forests, plant some trees in streets, schools and parks. These trees have many benefits. For example, it saves money, protects us by increasing the air qualities. The urban forests produce the shade and lower the temperature in summer, so that we can save nearly 50% cost on air conditioner.

In addition, he talked about harmful gas called sulfur dioxide cause air pollution. Also, it from burned fuel, like oil, coal. Then he point out the process of acid rain how formed. Moreover, acid rain effect on people, it can cause breath, eye, nose and throat problems. In addition, it also can effect on environment, like forest, soil, increase acid in the water and pollute the ocean. Lastly, he state that trees reduced the harmful air, made cooler atmosphere, and decrease the citizens to use air condition.
At beginning, the professor pointed out the topic which was problem of air pollution. First, he indicated that plenty of people live in urban area which is the key place of air pollution happened. Moreover, he said that people who live in urban area are affected by air pollution and cause it at the same time. Then, he mentioned about sulfur which is the main chemical cause air pollution. Actually, fuels burned are the major source of sulfur. Sulfur cause not only air pollution but also acid rain. As sulfur was discharging, it would combine with Oxygen in air became sulfur dioxide. Next, sulfur dioxide would mix with water in cloud, and then rained. It is the process of acid rain. Furthermore, professor told about the effects by air pollution. People suffer breath and eyes problem and air pollution burn their nose and throat as wall. Also, air pollution affects environment, sulfur dioxide had damage to forest and soil and increased acid in water which led to fish cannot live in water any more. In the end of lecture, professor state that the benefits of trees. It reduced the harmful air, made cooler temperature, and provide shade which can effectively decrease the rate of using air condition up to 50%.

The main topic explained by him was air pollution which is the problem in our lives and then he gives a solution with trees. He starts with informing us with a little background that how serious today's people are effected by air pollution. He said approximate of six billion of people lives in 2005 and then he further explains that fifty percent, three billion, of them lives in the city. He point out that here we find the key place to look for air pollution.
ReplyDeleteHe mentioned that the main components for the air pollution is Sulfur Dioxide which means pollutant gas. They are present in fuels such as coal, gas oil and gasoline. He s circulation of the Sulfur Dioxide in the atmosphere works with few process. First, the burn components come out as S, which is Sulfur. Then, that component meet with the air, O2, and that is how it becomes SO2. Finally, it mixes with the clown and rains, and that rain is called acid rain. He accentuate that acid rain is extremely dangerous.
Next, the professor talks about two kinds of problem caused by air pollution. First, it gives health problem. Air pollution gives constant damage to human and gives burning nose, throat, watery eyes, breathing problem. All this problem can drive to permanent damage. Secondly, air pollution gives environmental problems. According to him, it will damage the soil and forest. Plus, it will increase the acid in the water. As result, because of the acid, not many fish will be able to survive in the water.
Finally, speaker illustrate the benefits of trees. He said that trees gives environmental and economical benefits. By using urban forest, maintaining individual trees such as trees on the side line and school yards, trees can absolve polluted air, gas, like a sponge and convert to clean air. From this, it can prevent air pollution. Finally, since trees provides shades, it cools down the city temperature. By the research, it can reduce fifty percent of the usage of the air-conditioner. Therefore, because of its benefits, trees can save money and help to prevent environmental pollution.

He gave example of Sulfur dioxide which called SO2, it is produced by burning fuels such as coals and oils. He showed how it is harmful for environmental and human. When factories burned fuels, sulfur released and mixed with oxygen. It became SO2, rose up into atmosphere and mixed with water. It turned to acid rain which is danger for ground and water. The lecturer informed health and environmental problems. He also mentioned solution which is people plant trees. He explained three benefits of trees such as absorbing polluted air, preventing pollution and reducing temperature by giving shades, thus make people not to use air conditioners.

In todays lecture the professor talked about one of the elements that damages urban environment is Sulfur Dioxide- SO2. He explained that industries like power plants around the cities produce Sulfur by burning the coal and oil, than the Sulfur mixes with the oxygen in the air make Sulfur Dioxide. The SO2 mixes with the water in the cloud make the acid rain. He also pointed out some health problems and environment problems that caused by the air pollution in cities. Breathing difficulties, watering eyes, burning noses are some examples for health problems, in the other hand, damaged forests, plants and polluted water like oceans, lakes and rivers are some examples for the environment problems. Finally the professor showed the benefits of forests in the urban areas. The trees absorb polluted gasses and make more oxygen. They also keep the city cooler therefore the usage of air conditioner will be reduced this is also a protection for air pollution in cities
