10/30- Weekend Homework Assignment

Lauren's EAP- Make a 2-3 minute presentation with PPT to introduce yourself to the class.

  • Introduce yourself (where from, hobbies, family, ect.)
  • Share one thing that will be a challenge in this class and what you will do to help yourself get over this challenge.
  • Share one thing you are excited about learning in this class and explain why.
  • Tell us about what you want to study in the future. 
    • Each point should be a slide on your PPT for a total of 4-5 slides. 


Lauren's Core- Create a 5-7 min presentation w/ PPT answering the Unit Question, "How does power affect leaders?"

Your presentation must include: 
  • 3 important leadership qualities/skills w/ an example of a leader who shows this quality or skill, and an explanation of why it is important. 
  • Give 1 piece of advice on how to develop each quality. (1 advice = 1 quality)
  • 3 negative effects of power that leaders can develop w/ an example of a leader who shows this effect, and an explanation of how this develops. 
  • Give 1 piece of advice on how to avoid each effect. (1 advice = 1 effect)
  • A work cited page w/ 3-5 resources
    • You must include references to this research throughout your presentation

Lauren's Core 2- Think of a superhero that you are familiar with. Create a short 2-3 min presentation introducing your superhero and explaining how that superhero can inspire you/others.

Core- Write a 5 paragraph outline for a narrative essay describing a time when you took a risk
Think about the unit question, "Why do people take risks?" and refer to the self assessment checklist on page 152 as you prepare.
